PQ Tetra spearheads Sage roll-out

Johannesburg, 13 Aug 2001

Sage Enterprise Solutions South Africa, the local subsidiary of the UK-based business management software (BMS) vendor and the world`s largest supplier of midmarket BMS solutions, has unveiled a short- to medium-term roadmap for the company in partnership with its largest local distributor, PQ Africa`s PQ Tetra division.

The upcoming release of version 4.0 of Sage Enterprise`s industry-standard financial, distribution and manufacturing applications CS/3 and Line 200, and the company`s flagship business management software, Sage Enterprise v2.0, was announced at Sage Enterprise Solutions` national roadshow, hosted by PQ Tetra for a high-level group of Sage users and decision-makers this week.

Sage Enterprise Solutions South Africa divisional manager Ashley Ellington says the new products are expected to add significant functionality enhancements to the current versions, including Web enterprise modules for real-time mobile access to Sage Enterprise`s platform resources.

"In SA, as in other strategic global regions, Sage Enterprise Solutions is active in marketing its products and helping its distributors build turnkey business solutions around the Sage brand," he notes.

"We therefore rely on the skills and resources of our distributors to deliver customised solutions for the Sage Enterprise client, and are working closely with the team here to extend the benefits of our product enhancements to their clients as soon as they become available."
