Predict your way to the UEFA final with MTC

Windhoek, 21 Oct 2010

Ever wanted to watch the UEFA Champions League Final live, but you couldn't do it due to financial constraints? Well, you might just be one of five lucky Namibians to go and watch the 2011 UEFA Champions League final at Wembley Stadium, in London, England, courtesy of MTC.

And all you need to do is to predict the score of the Namibian Premier League matches on a weekly basis to stand a firm chance of realising your dream.

MTC will send five lucky winners to Wembley stadium in May 2011 to watch the final match live. In addition to the match ticket, MTC will cover all expenses related to the roundtrip, flights and accommodation for all the five winners.

Every week, one lucky winner from all the correct predictors will win a prize from MTC, and as an added bonus that winner will go in to the pool of finalists for the main draw, which will take place at the end of the MTC Premiership, just before the final of the UEFA Champions League in May 2011.

All that football lovers need to do is to send their prediction to SMS short code 2016 with the predictions of the particular matches playing in midweek or during the weekend. A draw will be held on a Monday and the weekly winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

MTC's Chief of Human Capital and Corporate Affairs, Tim Ekandjo, said: “The Predict-the-Score competition is one way of adding value to the MTC Premiership and ensure that Namibians follow the local game by getting involved through the predictions. I am certain that through this, many football fans will become active in terms of knowing the fixtures, debating the qualities of the teams and generally adding value to the whole football dynamic of our country.”

The competition will officially close on 15 May 2011.
