Prime support successfully installs new accounting system (ACCPAC) for LRC Industries

Johannesburg, 04 Oct 1999

Prime Support (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of the JSE listed company, Synergy Holdings has successfully completed an ACCPAC Windows upgrade, for LRC Industries. LRC Industries is a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK-based London Rubber Company.

LRC Industries Financial Controller Stephen Clare comments, "five years ago, the Company invested in the DOS version of ACCPAC Plus, which for the business at the time would have been quite adequate. As the business has grown and diversified it was time to look for a user friendly, more robust Accounting System with powerful feature functionality. It needed to answer the Y2K compatibility issue and also meet LRC's high reporting requirement".

"Having reviewed the situation in great detail with our service provider Prime Support, we are delighted with our choice of ACCPAC for Windows which has addressed all our requirements and is meeting the needs of all our users," added Stephen Clare.

Modules that were upgraded included Systems Manager, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Order Entry and Inventory Control. Crystal Reports was chosen as the preferred reporting package, to comply with LRC's high reporting requirements.

In addition to completing the installation, Web Training another Synergy Holdings company conducted on-site training, using LRC's live enabling users to continue with their day-to-day work at the same time.

"The installation ran smoothly and was completed ahead of schedule', said Hettie Kruger, Projects Manager at Prime Support. "Prime Support is able to offer a comprehensive accounting solution which includes customisation, training and on-going support 24-hours a day". Prime Support is one of only five ACCPAC Dealers to have been accorded Platinum Dealer status.
