Printer firms collaborate on recycling
Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, HP Japan and Lexmark have committed to donating to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as part of an effort to collect used consumer ink cartridges, says Internet-Ink.
Created in April 2009, the Ink Cartridge Homecoming Project highlights that firms have a social responsibility to recycle used ink cartridges, working towards the creation of a recycling-based society.
The six companies will donate to support UNEP's various activities targeting global environmental issues like global warming. The project aims to attain a high level of social significance and take an increasingly active approach in global environmental protection.
