Elexir Business Solutions recently implemented Prisma Solutions` TELEform at Watermark Risk Management Services` head office in Johannesburg.
Watermark Risk Management Services assist insurance companies with surveys which assess people`s possessions at current replacement value where approximately 27 000 pages of inventories are processed every month.
"A few months ago, we approached Elexir Business Solutions, a division of Elexir Computer Services, to provide us with the best solution to improve our data processing system. The new system had to be easy to use, fast and most importantly, accurate," says Niki Thompson, General Manager at Watermark Risk Management Services.
According to Ian Mac Donald of Elexir Computer Services, TELEform 6.1 was installed on two workstations with a scanner attached to one. Because standard workstations were used at Watermark, conversions were not difficult. "Only two entry-level 350MHz Pentium II`s, were required, the reader consisting of 128 Mb RAM and the 64 Mb RAM on the verifier was implemented. TELEform 6.1 runs on one of the NT workstations."

"Before TELEform 6.1 was implemented, it took approximately 45 minutes for one form to be processed. This time has been reduced to a couple of minutes. Quality checking is still done manually with TELEform`s interpretation.
