In a benchmark report: "BPM and Beyond: The Human Factor of Process Management", Aberdeen Group found best-in-class organisations drove a weighted average 26% year-over-year reduction in operating costs, by leveraging process management strategies, tactics and tools, states Fox Business.
The study collected data from more than 230 end-user organisations and found these companies are working to build a culture around process management in order to achieve substantial improvements in operational efficiency and customer service.

Active Endpoints sees record growth
Active Endpoints, the inventor of visual orchestration systems (VOS), has revealed record 2008 growth in sales and new customer acquisition of its flagship ActiveVOS development system, reports Business Wire.
ActiveVOS new product sales grew 85% in Q4 of 2008 compared to Q3 of 2008. Bookings in Q4 of 2008 increased 106% compared to Q4 of 2007, and year-over-year, bookings in 2008 increased 183% compared to 2007.

BigHand improves hospital workflow
In the UK, Sheffield Teaching Hospital has implemented the BigHand digital dictation workflow system, incorporating over 1 000 users spanning five hospitals on two campuses in one of the largest roll-outs of digital dictation technology in the National Health Service (NHS), says Public Technology.
The replacement of analogue tape dictation equipment with the digital dictation workflow system has enabled the NHS Foundation Trust to improve efficiency and patient care.
