Centrino means anytime, anywhere wireless connectivity and the TravelMate 804 LCi-b boasts integrated, co-existent 802.11b WLAN and Bluetooth technologies. This means mobile networking is even more convenient because it is able to seamlessly switch between WLAN and Bluetooth modes as needed, allowing users to simply do their work without any connectivity hassles.
Apart from mobile connectivity, top performance is guaranteed from the Intel Pentium-M 1.7GHz processor and the 855PM chipset. The ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 graphics chipset with 64MB of DDR VRAM is sure to make the 15-inch SXGA+ TFT colour LCD screen sing.
A maximum of 2 048MB of system memory ensures that even the most complex processing tasks are handled with ease, supported by a 60GB hard disk drive with Disk Anti-Shock Protection (DASP).

"The four-in-one PCMCIA card reader caters for additional media capabilities, while the AcerMedia Bay supports DVD, DVD/CD-RW and DVD-RW drives, among others, and also allows hot-swapping of drives to make using the laptop as simple as possible. Four USB 2.0 ports, 16MB USB Flash memory and an IEEE1394 port enable easy connections to the latest peripherals."
The AcerMedia Bay second battery takes full advantage of Centrino mobile technologies and provides a full day`s battery life for those constantly on the road.
Additional security for mobile users is delivered in the form of Acer`s SmartCard reader, which adds another layer of defence for users nervous about their data`s safety while connected on the road.
