Proline Wind notebook does well in South Korea

Johannesburg, 31 Jul 2008

The Proline Wind notebook - manufactured for Pinnacle Micro by MSI - has apparently taken the South Korean market by storm since its launch there. Sales in South Africa have also been described as "bullish".

This is according to Tim Humphreys-Davies, national sales and marketing director at Pinnacle Micro. He said when it was formally introduced in South Korea, the Proline Wind Notebook - which has drawn a great deal of attention - received an enthusiastic welcome.

The unit sold in South Korea carries the MSI branding, while the local unit is sold under Pinnacle Micro's flagship brand, Proline.

"The light and lean Wind Notebook boasts a number of unique, user-friendly functions. It allows users to connect to the Internet whenever and wherever they wish to do whatever they want, using the simplest of computer operating system designs available. It's the ideal computer for people on the move.

"Its practical and easy-to-use operating design won the hearts of the Korean public and media," Humphreys-Davies added.

Pinnacle Micro is part of the JSE-listed Pinnacle Technology Holdings (PTH) and distributes more then 30 product ranges, including brands such as Apacer, Lexmark, LG Electronics, Motorola, Canon and Western Digital.
