Prominent trading communities choose CommerceQuest to provide B2B exchange solutions

Johannesburg, 08 Sep 2000

CommerceQuest Inc, a premier provider of integration solutions for business-to-business (B2B) exchanges, today announced the addition of four leading companies to its rapidly expanding customer portfolio.

EmployeeLife, CourtLink, TheEdgeZone.com and SourceTrack have all chosen CommerceQuest to develop the infrastructures of their respective web-based trading communities.

"As a Net Market Maker one of our highest priorities is to get our indirect purchasing solution to market as quickly as possible," said Eric Helman, CEO of SourceTrack. "CommerceQuest, with its B2B infrastructure, enableNet, has accelerated our ability to get our solution to market by months, while giving us a highly flexible means to grow our business."

Each sale involves CommerceQuest`s proven managed service, enableNet, a subscription-based infrastructure solution comprised of industrial strength B2B integration software. enableNet is an end-to-end managed service that allows seamless integration and information transfer among members of a given B2B exchange. It provides users any-to-any integration shared across any application, hardware or network with assured delivery over a dependable and secure operating environment.

"Web-based business exchanges have become much more than buyer-seller platforms and these new customers represent the diverse challenges that accompany the industry`s growth," said Colin Osborne, CommerceQuest`s chairman. "enableNet affords a B2B trading community flexibility through its extensive integration capabilities and capacity, and provides resolution to problematic complexities of information transfer."

The new customers will put enableNet to use in various vertical industries and horizontal services to overcome the obstacles of disparate operating platforms, applications and networks within their respective business exchanges.

EmployeeLife will use the technology to deliver benefit solutions that increase organizational efficiency and productivity. CourtLink will rely on CommerceQuest to facilitate their environment of information and service exchange within the legal community. SourceTrack will use enableNet to conduct their e-purchasing services for mid-sized companies and their suppliers. Additionally, CommerceQuest`s technology will interconnect trading within TheEdgeZone.com`s network of dealers, distributors and manufactures of powersports parts, accessories and equipment.

"TheEdgeZone.com chose enableNet because of the diverse operating systems utilized by the members of the powersports industry and the need to make those systems communicate," said Mike Jackson, president TheEdgeZone.com. "enableNet`s ability to provide any-to-any communications is key for integrating the back-office systems of powersport equipment suppliers and dealers alike. We feel that by working with an industry leader such as CommerceQuest, we will succeed at integrating the powersports industry into an efficient network of suppliers and buyers."
