PSG Anchor Life has opted for Vizual Business Tools Personnel Manager as the preferred Human Resources package to manage their more than 3000 strong database of employees and contract workers. PSG Anchor Life markets a variety of investment and life assurance products. Synergy Holdings subsidiary, Web Training (Pty) Ltd is a specialist Vizual Valued Added Reseller and conducted the multi-user installation for PSG Anchor Life's HR Department.
"We required a Human Resources package that was highly customisable allowing our internal staff to modify the package according to our changing needs," said Inge Nel, HR Manager of PSG Anchor Life. "We looked at the other HR packages on the market and Personnel Manager met all the requirements," added Nel.
Personnel Manager was linked to their payroll package, Payday DOS- Payroll, so that information could be imported and exported across applications. Core information such as name, employee number etc was imported from the existing payroll records enabling the HR records to be constructed in record time. It also allows information to be updated in either applications, and exported across to the other without having to duplicate work. Hein Corporaal, Business Manager for Web Training said, "In collaboration with Vizual UK, we are writing dynamic links to various other payroll systems, in order to minimise future set-up time when linking to other payroll packages."
According to Inge Nel, "we are extremely happy with the product and the service and support provided by Web Training".
The installation took less than 2 days and the entire HR Department received a further two days of on-site training on live data. PSG Anchor Life has also opted for a 1-year maintenance contract, which includes free telephonic and technical support and free annual upgrades.
