Queue Manager helps
The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) has introduced a technology branded Queue Manager, as a pilot project at six of its main branches in Addis Ababa, according to Addis Fortune.
Queue Manager is an automated system that facilitates queues of customers entering the branch so that they can get service sequentially with maximum attainable efficiency, according to CBE officials.
"In today's competitive market, people and space management pose a big challenge in every business area," a statement from CBE reads.

Unified agent desktop solution released
Cincom Systems has released Cincom Synchrony, a unified agent desktop solution, assisting organisations in taking advantage of IBM's SOA platform, reports TMCnet.
Synchrony 7.4 supports IBM WebSphere Application Server Platform and includes the new Synchrony OpenCIM component to easily sync with third-party customer interaction management solutions from vendors like Genesys, Cisco and Avaya.
“We're seeing more and more customers who, due to acquisitions or other business evolution circumstances, have several contact centres with separate interaction management (IM) systems. The queues from these IM systems are dedicated, or more accurately, restricted to only those agents connected to a particular system,” says Trent Fulcher, program director, Cincom.
