Quintica acquires CSMG in expansion move

Johannesburg, 28 Apr 2005

Quintica SA, the service management solutions specialist and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) software developer, has acquired accredited ITIL training and consulting company, CSMG Management Consulting, for an undisclosed sum.

According to Quintica director, Charles Osburn, the acquisition will broaden Quintica's reach into the marketplace, allowing it to offer an "end-to-end" ITIL service that includes professional training, consulting and project implementation.

"The ITIL market in SA is growing exponentially as more emphasis is placed on best practices in service management," he says. "Quintica, with the skills and product sets associated of CSMG, and its established base, is in an ideal position to open new consulting and training opportunities within the local ITIL market."

Former CSMG managing director, J"urgen M"uller, will join as a member of the Quintica executive board.

"The company consists of management and staff who are passionate about developing and advancing service management methodologies," he says. "We are fortunate to have a team whose experience together with the companies intellectual property sets them apart in the marketplace."

M"uller is a previous chairman of the international IT Services Management Forum (ITSMF), the custodian of the ITIL methodology, and founder member of the South African chapter of this body.

Quintica is the local representative of Marval Corporation and Marval Service Management (MSM) - the service management application based on ITIL.
