QVC, MidlandHR partner

QVC, the televised home shopping specialist that reaches 22.5 million homes in the UK, has partnered with HR and payroll specialist, MidlandHR, signing a five-year hosted payroll contract for iTrent, the Web-enabled HR and payroll solution, states Personal Today.

Commencing in April 2009, the contract will see MidlandHR managing the monthly payroll, in addition to running back slips and payslip printing for QVC's 2 000 employees spread across the company's London headquarters, and distribution and call centre in Liverpool.

Once live on iTrent, QVC will experience many benefits, including a large reduction in data entry and increased confidence that information is current and accurate.

ADP enhances Run

ADP Employer Services, a provider of HR, payroll and benefits administration services, has made an enhanced version of Run powered by ADP Payroll for Accountants, reports CNN Money.

Run is an online payroll solution that enables accountants who process payroll for their small business clients to choose between performing tax filing and cheque printing themselves or having ADP take on those responsibilities on their behalf.

"ADP works closely with the accountant community to better understand their business challenges. We wanted to make sure that our accountant partners have the right solution to meet their small business clients' needs," said Don Weinstein, division VP, ADP Small Business Services.

Gorman-Rupp selects UltiPro

The Gorman-Rupp Company, a designer, manufacturer and seller of pumps and related equipment, has selected Ultimate Software's UltiPro for HR and payroll management, along with recruitment, performance management, learning management, and time and attendance, delivered through software as a service, says Business Wire.

Handling workforce management processes for approximately 1 000 employees, Gorman-Rupp's HR and payroll team was using multiple solutions, spreadsheets, and databases that had become cumbersome and difficult to manage.

“With the complexity of government regulations for employers increasing all of the time, we found that we needed a single, all-inclusive human resource and payroll solution,” said Ron Pittenger, assistant treasurer for Gorman-Rupp. “Using UltiPro, we expect to meet ever-changing compliance requirements more efficiently, while also enhancing the effectiveness of our employee management processes.”
