Radiology practice selects Zotec software

Zotec Partners, a provider in medical billing, practice management and radiology information systems software, has licensed its Electronic Billing Centre practice management and billing software suite to Yakima Valley Radiology, reports Market Watch.

The nine-radiologist practice selected the software to streamline the billing process, enhance workflow management, eliminate unnecessary labour, track productivity and receive payments from patients in a timely manner.

Michelle Juette, billing manager for Yakima Valley Radiology, says: "The business logic in the product really speaks to efficiency and understanding of the radiology billing process.”

Verizon Business is adding an Internet protocol (IP) termination service, available immediately on a limited basis, to the company's switchless-termination and dedicated-termination toll-free services, which use traditional telephony technology, says Market Watch.

The toll-free service also comes with new rating options; access-based billing and operating company number-based billing and delivers voice and IP calls over the Verizon Business global network.

It also provides electronic call-detail records, available either through portfolio or through a direct network connection that allows continuous streaming of information.

SoTel Systems, a provider of communications equipment and managed network services, selected the OmniBill system from Profitec Billing Services to service its billing and OSS requirements, says Xchange.

“At SoTel, our legacy billing platform was designed for billing of interconnect equipment, but could not accommodate our entry into the VOIP services market, and this fact necessitated a change in our billing process,” says Mike Sawyer, SoTel VP of corporate development.

Profitec's OmniBill system provides a Web-based experience for end-users, system operators, technicians and management personnel. CRM, billing, channel management, e-commerce, and e-billing are accommodated through single provider solutions sharing and updating a single database with real-time interoperability.
