RapidCloud to showcase connectivity range at 3GSM Africa

Johannesburg, 25 Nov 2004

RapidCloud Technology (Pty) Ltd, Johannesburg-based distributor of connectivity solutions into the African market, will exhibit an exciting range of products and solutions for the GSM and telecommunications market at the 3GSM Africa exhibition in Cape Town from 30 November to 1 December 2004.

Solutions being showcased by Rapid Cloud include RAD Data Communications cellular backhaul products designed to reduce the cost of backhaul and voice optimisation. These offer service providers and operators significant savings by lowering the costs end-to-end across the network. The new VMUX-400 A-bis voice compression product, with up to a 3:1 optimisation ratio will be among the products on show.

RapidCloud will also exhibit Redline Communication`s world first commercially available 802.16 Wimax compliant product - the AN-100. Also included will be Redline`s other products: the AN-30, which combines E1 and Ethernet, and the AN-50, an Ethernet-based product. Both use OFDM technology to supply high capacity, robust radio links in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations.

"3GSM Africa is a great opportunity for customers to discuss these solutions, applications, the cost savings that can be achieved, as well as access the product specialists of our partners from Redline Communications, RAD Data Communications and Lightpointe," says Arnoud de Nooy, Managing Director of Rapid Cloud.

RapidCloud will exhibit at stand 94 in the Cape Town Convention Centre for the duration of the 3GSM show.
