Information management and outsource ICT specialist, RDB Consulting, is pleased to announce a newly formed partnership with Workgroup IT, which will see it selling Oracle hardware products to the South African channel.
Workgroup was appointed as the sole local distributor of Sun Microsystems in 2003, and has its headquarters in Midrand, with a national geographic footprint and branches in all four major centres in South Africa.
The acquisition of Sun Microsystems by Oracle meant that as an Oracle Platinum Partner, RDB Consulting is well positioned to incorporate these new products into its offering; thus enabling RDB Consulting to offer its customers a true end-to-end IT service, including Oracle hardware products.
The partnership will initially focus on augmenting Oracle's open storage portfolio and unified storage offerings into the RDB Consulting portfolio.

By joining forces, RDB Consulting and Workgroup IT will be able to offer customers greater value and more comprehensive solutions through a mutually beneficial relationship, leveraging Workgroup's many years as the sole Sun Microsystems distributor in South Africa.
