The University of Pretoria partnered with FlowCentric Solutions (Pty) Ltd on a project aimed at reaching and providing opportunities for the youth at the 2005 Employers` Day presented by the School of Information Technology.
FlowCentric Solutions exhibited and presented along side distinguished giants such as Microsoft, Daimler Chrysler, Accenture, Ernst & Young, IBM SA, and Business Connexion. "It`s a wonderful opportunity to educate and develop the future of our country, especially in new technologies and growing industry trends such as Business Process Management. We are impressed with the student`s interest and participation and proud to have been part of this occasion", says Mr Pieter van Schalkwyk, MD of FlowCentric Solutions (Pty) Ltd.
Apart from dedicating resources to constant research and development and knowledge management in the field of process management and IT, FlowCentric Solutions, holds firm on their social responsibility to educate and support the youth. Various projects have been introduced to reach the youth and teach the youth about the business world and best practice.
One such project is the Industrial Based learning programme run by the University of Pretoria`s School of Information Technology, of which FlowCentric is a proud participator. This programme is aimed at providing students, with little or no experience, the chance to develop their skills and earn the experience needed to become valuable company assets.
FlowCentric Solutions also has dedicated resources to continue partaking in future projects aimed at the youth. Mr van Schalkwyk explains, "Although it is not required of us by law, we see the value in supporting the community. Where possible, we will continue to invest and make processes work".
