At the recent CRN Outlook Awards ceremony, Rectron took home 21 awards in recognition of its contribution to the reseller community, including joint first prize in the `Distributor of the Year` category.
The company also walked away with the `Channel Champions` award, winning it for its marketing efforts with its Toshiba notebook PCs - which are distributed exclusively by Rectron in South Africa.
Rectron also occupied the premier position in a number of other `Distributor of the Year` categories, including core LANs, audio and visual devices, displays, handheld devices, entry-level servers and midrange digital cameras.
It finished runner up in the following categories:
* High-end digital cameras
* Large format printers
* Notebooks
* Monitors
* UPSs
