South African distributor Rectron has introduced Gigabyte Technology`s new flagship 1066MHz FSB motherboard, the GA-8AENXP-D, to South African enthusiasts.
The new motherboard, featuring the Intel 925XE chipset, offers a range of functionalities to satisfy today`s computing needs such as next-generation processing with the LGA775 Intel Pentium 4 Processor with 1066MHz FSB and Hyper-Threading Technology.
The GA-8AENXP-D motherboard also supports DDR-2 533 / 400 to deliver maximum memory bandwidth of 8.5GBps in dual channel DDR mode. Along with enhanced performance, the motherboard also features Gigabyte`s Universal Plus Dual Power System (U-Plus DPS).
U-Plus DPS is an eight-phase power circuit designed to withstand varying electrical current levels, ensuring future processor upgrades.
Adds Michael Hann, Gigabyte product manager at Rectron: "The Gigabyte motherboard also provides a range of peripheral connections through IEEE 1394b and USB 2.0 for high-speed data transfer, and high speed Serial ATA for connection of storage devices. Users can also expect outstanding graphics output, as the motherboard also features PCI-Express, which doubles that of the current AGP8X interface."
For improved networking, Dual Gigabit LAN provides a simultaneous WAN and LAN connection at a network connection speed of up to 1 000Mbps for both network types. Also, the addition of integrated 802.11g wireless LAN solution standard provides a more flexible networking connection.
Lastly, for home-theatre quality sound the GA-8AENXP-D motherboard also features Intel High Definition Audio that provides enhanced multi-channel audio, improved voice and communication input, and multi-streaming capability.
