Rectron launches Transcend`s JetFlash

Now features MP3 and voice capabilities

South African distributor Rectron has introduced Trascend Information`s latest JetFlash release, a USB Flash Drive that now features MP3, AB repeat and voice recording functionalities.

"With the JetFlash, companies can exchange huge amounts of data between any desktop or laptop that features a USB port. And with the MP3 function, users can upload or download music to and from a PC, using the JetFlash as a MP3 player," explains Reon Coetzee, marketing manager at Rectron.

The JetFlash also features an AB repeat function which enables users to continuously replay a certain part of a track, while the voice recording function turns it into a digital recorder.

"The JetFlash also offers a strong data retention ability, which will certainly play an important role in users` overall storage capabilities," he says.

Other key JetFlash features include:

* USB 2.0 & 1.1. compliance, therefore, a true plug-and-play;

* 128MB and 256MB capacity;

* Up to 18 hours voice recording and 12 hours MP3 play; and

* Driverless functionality - only Windows 98SE requires enclosed driver.
