Redline Communications ramps up for intensive educational WiMax event in SA

Johannesburg, 24 Apr 2006

Redline Communications, a leading provider of standards-based broadband wireless equipment, will focus on providing insights into the large scale deployment of WiMax technology at the first African WiMax Forum to be held this week in Midrand, South Africa.

Joining forces with other WiMax technology developers, Redline Communications will use the forum for debate and in-depth discussion to drive greater deployment of WiMax technology with Africa`s telecom operators, ISPs, regulators, developers, resellers and solution providers.

Mike Ansley, VP of Worldwide Sales and Support for Redline Communications, who will present a keynote session at the forum, says Redline is enabling carriers and other service providers to profit from WiMax technologies today.

"Redline`s RedMAX products have already been chosen by several major international carriers in the Middle East, Europe and Asia and to deliver advanced wireless broadband services as a result of the first-to-market advantage."

Since Redline`s current RedMAX products can enable operators to connect high-revenue customers now, the first-to-market advantage is a very real opportunity for African telecommunications carriers and wireless ISPs. "This is the opportunity to establish a strong business model and robust WiMax network and reap the benefits from WiMax technology," adds Ansley.

"We hope to share with these key players in at the forum our experience and expertise to plan, deploy and manage large-scale WiMax networks taking into account the unique local landscape via our certified partners."

The company will also host a live demonstration of the RedMAX family of WiMax products at its booth.
