Registration for World Congress open

The International Project Management Association (IPMA) says registration remains open for the 21st IPMA World Congress on Project Management, to be held from 18 to 21 June, according to OpenPR.

The conference is set to take place in Cracow, Poland. Online registrations will be accepted throughout May 2007, while onsite registrations will be available when the congress opens in June.

The IPMA World Congress is one of the world's major project management conferences held each year. Stanslaw Sroka, World Congress Cracow 2007 chairman, says: "Already, over 500 project management experts, leaders and professionals from over 50 countries have registered."

e-Consultancy publishes PM guidelines

eConsultancy has published Web project management (PM) guidelines based on feedback from more than 600 project managers.

Key findings of the research indicate that 45.5% of respondents do not have a structured approach to managing their Web projects. This rises to 67% in the industry.

About 58% of respondents say their projects always achieve their goals, yet only 21% of them say they always achieve deadlines, and only 39% always achieve budget and a positive ROI. Over 8% of respondents never meet their project deadlines and nearly 6% never deliver their projects within budget.

Staubach selects Expesite for projects

Expesite, a provider of end-to-end program and project management software, has been selected by Staubach Retail to more than a thousand real estate and construction projects annually, according to a company statement issued via Business Wire.

Staubach has also selected Expesite for its robust client-facing system that could scale to meet growing demands from retail clients.

The scheduling, status and notification features in Expesite, missing from its previous systems, will provide Staubach and its clients with real-time visibility into project details.
