Research centre drives advanced tech
Professor Susan Atlas has been appointed as the director of the new Centre for Advanced Research Computing (CARC), based in the US, reports UNM Today..
Formerly known as the Centre for High Performance Computing, the new CARC based at the University of New Mexico (UNM) will focus on a broader range of research computing and faculty support with the goal of increasing and improving research activity on campus.
Atlas says: “I hope to make the centre a home for the most novel and creative computationally-driven research and education, the vibrant exchange of ideas, and most importantly, enable its continued growth as a distinguished centre for advanced research computing at UNM”.
Telesoft gets new management
Telesoft, telecom expense management provider, has revealed the appointment of Kevin Donoghue as its president, Jay Lockett as vice-president of engineering, and Heather Dunn as director of marketing, states PRWeb.
Bringing more than twenty years of extensive sales and management experience, Donoghue is responsible for leading company strategy and operations at Telesoft.

Canaan Partners gets former Yahoo exec
Canaan Partners, a multibillion-dollar global venture capital firm, has named Sharad Sharma as its entrepreneur-in-residence, says e-Media Wire.
Sharma previously led Yahoo India research and development where he was responsible for product engineering for all emerging markets and for several global products including image search, search monetisation and HotJobs.
