Ngoako Corporation, an export and import IT solutions company based in Sunnyside, Tshwane, has launched PC Guard, security software that it claims can restore lost data in as little as eight seconds.
Ngoako MD Ngoako Mahura says the product was launched in April and has generated a great deal of interest.
Pointing out that lost data could cost a company millions, he says: "Most data recovery solutions require technicians taking at least an hour to restore data. This is time-consuming and expensive for the customer. PC Guard software needs only a matter of a few seconds to save and restore up to 40GB of data at a cost of under R399," he claims.
PC Guard is designed by a Chinese company, Xian Technology, and imported exclusively by Ngoako. Mahura says it can be installed on any PC or laptop.
Mahura explains that PC Guard can instantly recover lost data, as well as data damaged by viruses or hackers. He says data is restored to its original status without taking any space on the hard drive or affecting the machine`s functions.
The product is suited to the local area network environment as well as individual users, he says.
