Retail tech vendor lands in Oz

Korean retail technology vendor In4 Media Communication Design is looking to develop a channel go-to-market strategy in Australia, writes ARN.

In4 Media Communication Design manufactures touch-panel 3D multimedia systems, dual operation video display units and holographic display technologies.

In4 Media sales representative, Jin An, says the company has set up an office in Chatswood, Sydney, and is in discussions with potential customers.

Retailers demand intelligence

Retailers need to implement the latest technology to ensure they keep up to date with the ever-changing demands of today's consumer, states Retail Moves.

That is the view of the retail representatives from the Next Generation Retail US Committee, who are driving retail demand intelligence.

The committee says retailers require customised, targeted promotions carrying personalised benefits and incentives, as well as highly and easy-to-use multichannel technology.

Lawsuit against POS provider brews

Two US attorneys are on the verge of filing a national lawsuit against one of the hospitality industry's biggest point-of-sale (POS) technology providers due to security standard abuses, reports PR Log.

The target of the upcoming legal action is Restaurant Data Concepts, creators of the POSitouch system and CC Productions as well as POSitouch technology.

According to the attorneys Charles Hoff and Shiel Gallagher, the companies allegedly sold and installed POS systems that contributed to thefts at multiple restaurant locations.
