Rewind business processes with ActiveVOS
Active Endpoints, a business process management (BPM) and automation software maker, has released an update that enables business users to rewind processes and adjust work when the information in a system does not match what is expected, reports Software Development Times.
ActiveVOS 6.1, which is slated for release on 10 March, will introduce a process rewind feature that is intended to make BPM less rigid.
"People can be afraid of BPM, thinking that it puts shackles on how the business is run; this new system fixes a pain point," said Michael Rowley, director of strategy and technology at Active Endpoints.

Unitus' IT business processes coveted
With two years down and one to go in his quest to create a service-enabled culture, Unitus Community Credit Union CIO Brian Irvine has turned the company's IT business processes into a commodity coveted by other business units, writes SearchCIO-Midmarket.com.
How? By shaking things up in the IT department and proving the return on investment of a software-as-a-service (SaaS) service desk application, after another SaaS project stalled due to too much customisation.
The heart of Irvine's strategy was to turn the service desk and IT into a business unit akin to sales or human resources, where technology services could be delivered as easily as payroll direct-depositing a cheque in an employee's bank account.
