Local value-added distributor, AmVia, has revealed that RightFax e-document delivery solutions give SAP users a powerful and easy way to reduce costs and save time by electronically delivering business-critical documents such as invoices, purchase orders and statements via fax, e-mail or the Internet directly from their SAP applications.

The company notes that the RightFax product line is scalable and flexible, giving enterprises options for automating document delivery from SAP to meet unique business requirements.

"Applications for production fax are typically back-office, batch-oriented, repetitive, mission-critical processes. RightFax`s production dissemination engine is uniquely suited for all those high-volume documents generated in SAP applications," says AmVia head of operations, Robyn Grobbelaar. "These high volume documents can include invoices, purchase orders, statements, order confirmations, bills of loading, change orders and financial reports. RightFax provides SAP users with e-document capabilities such as forms overlay, flexible scheduling with multiple priority levels and advanced notification and management," she adds.

RightFax features a range of add-on modules that enhance production faxing capabilities as well as enterprise-wide faxing capabilities. This approach gives maximum flexibility and ensures that any RightFax implementation has optimal leverage throughout an organisation.

At the core of any RightFax Production System for SAP is the RightFax Enterprise Server. "RightFax Enterprise Server, which facilitates the combination of multiple RightFax servers on LAN, WAN, Internet or intranet, is ideal for national and global businesses that require mission-critical reliability to handle heavy network traffic and optimised document delivery across all systems and locations," explains Grobbelaar.

Delving deeper into the technology, she explains that RightFax Connector for SAP R/3 provides an interface from SAP R/3 to the RightFax Enterprise Server, enabling SAP R/3 users to send and receive electronic documents directly from SAPoffice and other SAP applications via SAPconnect. "The connector has gone through rigorous testing and is certified under mySAP.com for SAP R/3, 3.1i, 4.5b and 4.6c," notes Grobbelaar.

With SAPconnect, Remote Function Call (FCR) technology enables RightFax to communicate directly with SAP applications. This results in easier installation, less system administration, faster communication and greater control over document delivery for users.

"For instances where SAPconnect does not fit into an organisation`s environment or presents limitations, companies can integrate RightFax into their SAP environment using the RightFax Integration Module and SAPscript," she says.

Grobbelaar concludes: "The benefits of RightFax`s production-level e-document delivery solution from SAP are significant. Organisations can reduce document delivery costs by up to 90% and simplify and streamline business processes. They can realise new efficiencies by freeing up valuable resources; more importantly, because companies can deliver by fax, e-mail or the Internet, automatic delivery of mission-critical documents becomes highly efficient."
