
Rolta out for BI acquisition
Rolta has raised $125 million for funding future acquisitions, reports DNA India.
The company says it's looking to acquire companies in the business intelligence (BI) space.
The firm is pursuing acquisitions with the aim of offering more and more IP-based solutions, which earn better margins. Rolta currently earns about 75% of its revenue from GIS and engineering design services.
Sage rolls out integrated solution
Business management software and services provider Sage UK has introduced a platform integrating CRM, business intelligence and financial management software, says CBR.
Sage 200 2010 produces a single view of the organisation to enable informed decision-making and improved operational performance.

MS unveils visualisation tool
Microsoft has released a controller for its Silverlight multimedia software that can present dynamic visual summaries of large data sets in Web browsers, states PC World.
Microsoft asserts that the technology is used for business intelligence, Web site navigation, and for content management.
Developed by the company's Live Labs research group, PivotViewer can visualise large collections of data in such a way to make them easier to order and analyse.
