RSA boosts cloud compliance
EMC's RSA security arm has introduced an integrated security and compliance package designed expressly for cloud computing, reports eWeek.
RSA Solution for Cloud Security and Compliance is aimed at managing security, risk and regulatory compliance of cloud infrastructures and to decrease customer uneasiness about deploying virtualised business-critical applications.
Jon Oltsik, principal analyst at the Enterprise Strategy Group, says: "Even with all the benefits cloud computing provides, CIOs will continue to be wary until there is a way to manage security and compliance with the same level of assurance that is available today with physical data centre environments."
Modulo expands footprint
Modulo, a provider of enterprise governance, risk and compliance solutions, is solidifying its presence in the growing Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) markets, states Market Watch.
Eight new specialist security partners, in addition to global partner IBM, are using Modulo Risk Manager to expand services across EMEA.
Mark Bardoe, vice-president of EMEA for Modulo, says: "The EMEA markets are challenged with managing risk in the face of complex and demanding regulations and exponentially increasing security threats.”
Firms prioritise identity management
After years of slashing IT budgets in a down economy, most financial services firms are now investing in identity management and other security applications, says Internet News.com.
Deloitte's latest survey of the financial services sector found that financial services firms, driven by governance, risk and compliance, have made identity management a top priority for 2010.
The report states that strong governance establishes automated, continuous processes for managing user access to information resources.
