RSA solution includes BC function

RSA, the division of EMC, has released the next generation of RSA Authentication Manager, the management platform and the power behind the RSA SecurID solution, says ThomasNet.

Including extensive additions to its features and functionality, the RSA Authentication Manager version 7.1 provides business options - in the event that a large number of users unexpectedly have to work offsite - along with extended authentication choices and enhanced operational efficiencies.

"Rapidly-evolving business models demand flexible and robust solutions that can deal seamlessly with complex risk scenarios while concurrently reducing deployment costs and enhancing productivity," said Chris Christiansen, VP of Security Products and Services at IDC.

Survey looks at BC budgets

According to Continuity Central, during December 2007 and January 2008 it conducted an online survey into business continuity budgets.

One hundred and eighty usable responses were received from around the world, 40.5% of respondents were from the US, 21.7% coming from the UK, 10.5% from Canada and 5% from Australia.

Overall, it seems business continuity budgets are holding up well despite the present gloomy economic climate in western countries. However, budgets seem to be more under pressure in the UK than in other countries.

Bahrain hosts BC conference

KPMG Fakhro, in coordination with BCMI, is bringing to Bahrain the Business Continuity Management course, states MENAFN.

The course, aimed at preparing organisations for the risks and challenges of tomorrow, will be held at the Elite Grande from 6 to 8 May.

"The workshop will help organisations build awareness, local skills, identify and analyse threats and get them ready to meet tomorrow's challenges today," said Jamal Fakhro, managing partner, KPMG.
