South Africa is finally catching up with its international counterparts in terms of adoption of virtualisation and cloud computing technologies.
So says Andy Brauer, CTO of Business Connexion, who will unpack cloud computing and its dynamics at the ITWeb Virtualisation and Cloud Computing Summit which will take place on 27 July, at The Forum in Bryanston.
The summit will cover various aspects of virtualisation and cloud computing, and features industry insights and case studies by opinion leaders and legal experts.
Brauer will examine the role and dynamics of bandwidth in relation to cloud computing vendor offerings.
He will also look at the various attributes of cloud computing and what service providers are doing in the cloud today, as well as the differences in cultivating a cloud community versus the current desktop or enterprise.
He believes SA is ready for the cloud-computing era and that the infrastructure exists to support the increased demand for bandwidth consumption that will occur with the use of cloud computing.
