Syrinx Communications International (Pty) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Saab Grintek, recently launched its voice services solution targeted at the corporate market in SA.
"Syrinx's data and voice network is built upon solutions provided by Saab Grintek's Carrier division. With multiple carrier grade interconnection links to licensed operators in South Africa, Syrinx has the ability to transport international voice traffic and cellular voice traffic with or without caller line identity (CLI). All voice traffic is billed per second with no charges applied for setting up of the call. Corporates can benefit from a 20% to 60% call cost savings," says Lukshman Maharaj, Managing Director, Syrinx.
"Syrinx offers a carrier grade voice service linked to a penalty-based service level agreement. Voice quality parameters are measured for all calls and automatic rerouting occurs in the event that there is a loss of connectivity," adds Maharaj.
The corporate voice service can also be bundled with other Syrinx services, such as Internet, corporate mobility, VPN (virtual private network) or global connectivity. In all instances, quality of service forms a core component of Syrinx voice network implementations. Syrinx includes with its service, in-house developed hardware components that facilitate remote leased-line fault detection and resolution.
