One of the world`s leading beverage companies, SABMiller Africa and Asia, chooses FlowCentric Solutions as their Business Process Management (BPM) Solution.
SABMiller Africa and Asia is currently upgrading its business systems throughout Africa and Asia, in a move to standardise their operations. FlowCentric Solutions is one of three companies selected for SABMiller Africa and Asia`s Business Systems Upgrade (BSU) Project, the other two being iPlan, an industrial engineering consulting firm, and Corpfin, a consulting company, which specialises in the SYSPRO ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution.
FlowCentric is proud to be associated with this development, which will contribute to streamlining SABMiller Africa and Asia`s operations in these areas. The BSU project will attempt to solve issues relating to SABMiller African and Asia aggressive growth trend over the last 15 years. Areas in need of attention relate to the decentralization of management and duplication of effort making corporate synergy and compliance difficult. FlowCentric will be used to enforce workflow, compliance, controls and standardization for numerous business processes within manufacturing, procurement, forecasting and sales.
The move from paper-based to automated systems has been an ongoing trend in the business sector. ERP vendors developed software to satisfy the needs of various sections in businesses, the result, more often than not, these systems end up being incompatible with each other, and doesn`t allow business processes to be viewed on a single platform. In the words of Dr Abr'e Pienaar, representative for the BSU project at SABMiller Africa and Asia, "Using the same ERP system is not sufficient for standardization; you have to standardise the business processes". In a world where timely and accurate information about the company`s business processes is invaluable, FlowCentric facilitates efficient Business Process Management.
After mapping and modelling SABMiller Africa and Asia`s business processes, the team is undergoing the next phase of the BSU in Botswana Kgalagadi where the project is being rolled out and tested. From here the team will execute the processes in Zambia and Mozambique.
