Recruitment agency developer Safe Computing has acquired its financial and accounting software partner, Topaz, reports Accounting Web.

The Topaz product line includes accounting, credit control, payroll, HR and time and attendance modules, which already work in tandem with Safe's Tempest Pay and Bill system for recruitment agencies.

The combined business will have a turnover of more than £10 million, derived from 200 customers. Topaz MD Geoff Griffiths will join the Safe Computing board.

GAC Logistics implements COA Solutions

GAC Logistics, a logistics services provider and part of the global GAC Group, has improved business efficiency and is reducing its environmental impact as a result of implementing COA Solutions' Electronic Payslip system, states Response Source.

The system is tightly integrated into the company's COA Solutions OpenPeople payroll solution and has initially been made available to 120 employees across six sites.

Annalie Briers, HR and payroll manager of GAC Logistics (UK), says: “With electronic payslips, we can enjoy huge time and efficiency savings. It took just three weeks from placing the order to installing the new system and we will receive a return on our investment within just 12 months.”

Alfa Laval implements UltiPro

Alfa Laval, a provider of specialised products and engineering solutions, was able to improve its human resources and payroll processes with UltiPro delivered through Ultimate Software's software-as-a- option, says Industry Week.

Ultimate Software is a provider of end-to-end strategic human resources, payroll and talent management solutions.

Barbara Cuttino, HR information system and payroll manager for Alfa Laval, said: "Ultimate Software performs our upgrades for us and maintains the hardware, so we can all focus on other projects."
