Sahara adds some sparkle to its notebook image

Johannesburg, 24 Oct 2007

Sahara Computers, local suppliers of information, communication and digital lifestyle technology, has kicked off an intensive marketing campaign with the launch of a brand new range of notebook solutions.

The Sahara Image Book series represents a gateway to affordable mobile technology, feature-rich mobile computing and a fresh, enhanced level of digital interaction for the consumer.

To illustrate, Sahara introduces the Sahara Image Book Series, which is powered by an Intel Core Duo 1.73GHz processor and provides the advantage of tier one hardware quality.

Its features include 1024MB memory, 120GB hard drive, 15.4-inch LCD screen and a DVD-writer.

The series comes with either Microsoft Vista Business or XP Professional software, six months' free Internet access, a free three-in-one printer (copy, scan, print) and complementary carry bag.

The notebook campaign is targeted at the broader South African consumer base and was organised to address what Sahara views as the increasing need for reliable and affordable mobile computing.

"Most people understand the variety and abundance of mobile solutions available in the market today, but it is difficult for all users to keep ahead of the pace of innovation and advancement in features and technical specifications," explains Gary Naidoo, deputy MD of Sahara.

"The Sahara Image Book E003 includes various software titles, making the bundle ready to use for real world application in the office, small business or home. This also includes a 60-day trail of Microsoft Office 2007, Symantec Anti-Virus and Internet Security, TurboCash Accounting, Oxford Encyclopaedia and Sahara Online Web Access," he adds.

These service level offerings will reinforce the company's current status as having the number one South African notebook brand, he says.
