As official IT supplier to the U/19 IRB Rugby World Cup Championship, contested recently in Durban, Sahara Computers played its part in ensuring a successful competition. The company provided full Internet connectivity, access to data and up-to-the minute tournament information.
The infrastructure included Sahara's latest PCs based on AMD Athlon 64 processors, as well as Sahara Intel Centrino Wireless Mobile Technology notebooks complete with DVD writers.
This was incorporated into the ADSL network at the tournament office, allowing visiting players and managers to communicate abroad and receive match updates, scores, news and general information related to the championship.
