IT vendor Samsung has introduced the Samsung X460 laptop, which it says is more productive than other laptops its size.
The X460 is encased in magnesium alloy and aluminium, is three centimetres thin, and weighs under two kilograms, according to the company.
Although small in size, Samsung says it does not skimp on power and performance. The enhanced six-cell lithium ion battery, notes Samsung, delivers up to six hours of battery life.
The new laptop also features WiMax capability, enabling 4G broadband connection speeds along with 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity.
According to Samsung, the X460 also sports a 35cm-wide backlit LCD screen offering 300 units of brightness and a biometric fingerprint reader for better security.
The X460 incorporates 256MB dedicated graphics memory with NVIDIA discreet graphics for gaming purposes, runs on an Intel Centrino 2 chip, has 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and a built-in 7-in-1 card reader.
