Samsung Electronics has unveiled a PDA phone which converges personal digital assistant functions with a mobile phone.
This PDA phone is the smallest and thinnest such unit developed by Samsung weighing in at only 132 grams and offers the 'Wide 4 Gray Graphic LCD' (120x240 dots) for better picture quality.
Samsung's latest mobile phone has been designed with convenience in mind. A large-size touch screen allows users to easily type in text messages and send them with image files via the touch mail function. The PDA phone is also available with a flash memory capacity of 8MB, allowing multiple users to play internet games simultaneously.
The new phone features various PDA capabilities that allow users to manage personal data such as scheduling, telephone directory and note-taking. DataSync2000 software allows data compatibility with Microsoft Outlook comes standard with the phone. The unit will be available locally in the second half of 2001.
This PDA phone is another model in Samsung's line-up of multi-function phones which also include its Watch Phone, MP3 Phone, TV Phone and Digital Camera Phone.
