Samsung Series 5 released in UK

That means the days of installing Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader and countless other little bits of software could be over.
The Samsung Series 5 is the first Chromebook to be unveiled in Britain, on sale online this week. It boots up in just eight seconds and has a battery life of 10 hours.
According to Metro, the Chromebooks - which run the Internet giant's new Chrome OS, designed to be used with online 'cloud computing' services, went on sale in the UK, with the first model made by Samsung.
Unlike traditional operating systems such as Microsoft's Windows or Apple's Mac OS X, users do not install software in the normal way - instead, everything takes place inside Google's Chrome Web browser, with 'Web apps' replicating the functions of traditional computer programs.
This is London reports that the Chromebook, which will cost from £349, will run one piece of software - Google's Web browser. Google says the low-cost laptop will be far easier to use than traditional computers.
