SanDisk releases MP3 player
Local distributor Tudor has announced the availability of the SanDisk Flash memory-based MP3/Windows Media Audio player product range.
The product line includes red (256MB), blue (512MB) and silver (1GB) models.
"This is the ideal offering for digital lifestyle enthusiasts and those hungry for high quality portable audio," says Gary Shap, MD of Tudor.
The models feature an FM tuner, a built-in microphone and USB 2.0 connectivity.
Amazon.com experiences outages
Some customers had trouble reaching the Web site of e-tailer Amazon.com yesterday, in what analysts described as probable technical difficulties, reports Associated Press.
Keynote Systems, which monitors the performance of e-commerce sites, said the problems worsened as the day wore on, when about one in five customers was unable to visit the site.
Another monitoring firm, AlertSite.com, said some of the problems continued until late yesterday afternoon.
Trend enters PDA market
Trend Micro is launching a Mobile Security application aimed at smartphones and personal digital assistants (PDAs), reports Newsfactor.com.
Mobile Security will provide anti-virus and anti-spam protection for the growing number of mobile SMS messaging users.
To generate interest in the software, Trend Micro is offering a free trial of the product until next June.
