SANRAD, a leader in developing and delivering intelligent iSCSI SAN solutions, has received a bronze award for its V-Switch 3000 in the networking equipment category of the second annual "Products of the Year" awards presented by the editors of TechTarget's Storage magazine and SearchStorage.com.
A panel of storage experts examined storage products introduced and shipped in 2003. On the panel were the editors of TechTarget's Storage magazine and SearchStorage.com, a select group of storage readers and independent storage analysts. Selection criteria included innovation, performance, ease of integration into existing environments, ease of use, manageability, functionality and value.
"SANRAD's bronze award, just behind storage giants and industry leaders CNT (silver) and Cisco Systems (gold), is a significant achievement," says Luca Ambrosi, national practice manager, storage at Square One Solutions Group, a major distributor in SA for SANRAD equipment and solutions.
The iSCSI V-Switch 3000 delivers IP Data Centre capabilities to mid-range applications by combining the functionality of a multi-protocol switch, storage virtualisation engine, storage router and FC, SCSI, and FC fabric bridge into a single integrated solution.
"With its intelligent storage routing and high-availability functionality, the SANRAD V-Switch allows organisations to build robust and high performance IP SANs.
