SAP AG today announced at the CeBit 2001 international technology conference that it has extended its relationship with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world`s largest professional services organisation, to include the mySAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) suite of solutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). PricewaterhouseCoopers added mySAP CRM to its selection of top-tier CRM solutions in recognition of the growing need of clients for a truly integrated e-business infrastructure.
PricewaterhouseCoopers and SAP have already successfully collaborated with mutual customer, The Gillette Company, to enable that company to reap the benefits of the mySAP CRM solution.
Dieter Timmermann, chief information officer and vice president of Corporate Information Technology and Applications for The Gillette Company said:
"mySAP CRM has made Gillette a more nimble company, providing us with greater efficiencies and the ability to better serve our customers."
"By targeting productivity objectives in our sales processes and tools and by shaving off low-value time, we are already hearing from our customers that they`re noticing a difference in the level of service we`re able to provide. Since implementing mySAP CRM for our sales representatives, we have truly accomplished our goal of establishing a single, integrated, global view of our customers while providing a unified `One Gillette` to our vendors and customers across business and geographic lines."
As part of the agreement, PricewaterhouseCoopers will demonstrate the mySAP CRM solution at its New World Solution Centre in the UK, as well as its European Centre of Excellence in Germany, and will make the prototype accessible from every PricewaterhouseCoopers office in the EMEA region. The demonstration centre will specifically focus on call centre, mobile and pervasive devices, marketing and campaign management, and Internet sales functionality.
David Duray, Management Consulting Services partner and global leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers SAP practice said:
"PricewaterhouseCoopers is currently working with a number of clients globally to deliver the SAP CRM solution and we continue to receive requests to demonstrate the benefits of SAP`s CRM product offerings," "As a result, we have collaborated with SAP to build a state-of-the-art, high-quality demonstration environment to showcase the scope of functionality as well as the relative ease of integration of the mySAP CRM solution."
PricewaterhouseCoopers and SAP`s CRM relationship will initially extend to, France, Germany, Italy, the Nordic Countries, Spain and the United Kingdom. PricewaterhouseCoopers has developed a strong capability to deliver the SAP CRM solution and as part of this new agreement will expand significantly the number of SAP CRM consultants in EMEA during 2001. The agreement covers joint training, implementation and consulting.
Carol Burch, senior vice president of Global CRM Business Development, SAP AG.said: "The fact that PricewaterhouseCoopers chose to add mySAP CRM to its top tier CRM solutions speaks volumes for SAP`s position in the highly competitive CRM market."
