SAP, the world`s largest provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions has renewed it role-based education partnership contract with JSE-listed CS Holdings, the IT solution provider.
CS Holdings offers SAP`s role-based education through CS Apps, a company in the IT training division. CS Apps originally won the contract based on capability, commitment and national presence.
The CS Holdings` IT training division comprises eight training centres in all the main regions and a further 11 satellite branches in remote areas, enabling it to meet the needs of SAP R/3`s widely distributed installed base. CS Apps is one of SAP`s first role-based training partners in the world.
"South Africa is the country responsible for the development and global roll out of SAP R/3 role-based training," says Dave Simonds, GM: Education and Training at SAP Southern Africa. "CS Apps have proved their excellence in rolling out the new SAP global curriculum focusing on usability and application of SAP in the business. In the past, SAP training has been more orientated to technical users. Now with role-based training, SAP is focussing on the business process and business users, particularly those who extract information for analysis, and decisions support in business management.
CS Apps has an important role to play in our roll-out of the next generation of role-based education which enables business users to effectively benchmark business processes through use of process metrics and values."
CS Apps director Elize Ackerman says that the company has now broadened its scope to also include customised and client-specific roles and functionality. "Our key differentiator is offered in the form of an education-based post implementation review geared towards channelling people`s skills in order to improve business intelligence and delivering tactical and bottom-line benefits at all levels," concludes Ackerman.
