SAPO takes its investment in Epson printers to 5 400

Johannesburg, 18 Mar 2003

PC-PoS South Africa, the local subsidiary of international point of sale vendor, PC-PoS Inc, has sold another 400 Epson T88 III thermal printers to the South African Post Office (SAPO). A total of 5 400 Epson printers are now being deployed by the SAPO - all supplied by PC-PoS.

Regan Atkins, business development manager at PC-PoS, said the printers are being used at all post offices around the country "for the printing of customer receipts".

"Our continuing business with the SAPO shows the high level of brand awareness the Epson printer range enjoys," he said.

PC-PoS is better known for its modular DigiPos point of sale units, of which more than 50 000 have been sold around the globe since the launch of the new range five years ago. Locally there are an estimated 4 000 users.
