SAS PBLS moves on to Hong Kong in August

Johannesburg, 03 Aug 2010

Following a well attended conference in Berlin in June, and continuing the theme of “leading with confidence in times of change”, the highly successful SAS Premier Business Leadership Series (PBLS) will next take place in Hong Kong on 10 and 11 August 2010.

This exclusive invitation-only event hosts top-level executives, decision-makers and visionaries from public and private companies across the world, who gather to hear thought leaders and panel discussions deliver real insights into transforming business, and attend master classes to learn how to apply these insights in real world scenarios.

“The Asia leg of the PBLS promises to once again be a successful and informative event for attendees,” says Maphum Nxumalo, MD of SAS South Africa. “The theme of the series is aimed at assisting organisations to take advantage of the opportunities offered in tough economic times, and those who attend will be well positioned to help their businesses innovate, optimise and transform processes for maximum competitive advantage.”

The two-day conference will help executives explore how to ask forward-looking questions and get fact-based answers, to enable them to make better decisions and as a result greatly improve efficiency and profitability.

Speakers and sessions at the event will examine issues from an executive's perspective across a broad spectrum of industries, providing insights that will inspire a new way of thinking and a new approach to business decisions. Attendees will be able to discuss the most critical and current business and technology issues with their peers - top business and IT executives, global economic analysts, strategic innovators and thought leading academic figures - and develop future strategies.

“Confirmed speakers at the event include Thomas H Davenport, author of Competing on Analytics and Analytics at Work; Dr Fan Gang, Director of the National Economic Research Institute in China; Jim Goodnight, co-founder and CEO of SAS; Thornton May, Futurist, Executive Director and Dean of the IT Leadership Academy; and many more,” Nxumalo concludes.
