Say goodbye to paper-based job cards

Johannesburg, 08 Feb 2008

Oakwell, a Microsoft mobility solutions specialist, is hosting a briefing at Microsoft offices in Bryanston on 13 February 2008 to demonstrate how to quickly move your field service team into a paperless field service environment, and say goodbye to paper-based job cards.

There will be an opportunity to listen to an industry expert who will cover the state of mobile business in SA and provide information on the Microsoft Mobile platform and services. In addition, there will be a live demonstration of a mobile solution as applied to a real business scenario.

The briefing will illustrate how Oakwell's Mobilo product can easily automate field service tasks to increase customer responsiveness and satisfaction, improve accuracy efficiency and productivity, and to streamline internal processes.

The Mobilo application platform contains preconfigured Mobilo mApps, which are installed onto Windows Mobile devices, and handle the data collection and specific workflows for mobile job cards, work orders or timesheets. It enables the field workers to continuously stay in contact and have access to the organisation's systems and information anywhere and anytime.

"Through Mobilo, Oakwell continues to provide a single platform that manages the complexity associated with mobile applications, from security through connectivity, allowing companies to focus on crafting powerful mobile applications."
