ScanR turns photos to PDFs
Digital Camera Info reports the launch of a service by ScanR, whereby digital images of documents are cleaned up and transformed into PDF documents. The service is being offered free of charge at www.scanR.com, where consumers may try out the product for a limited period of time.
Using images obtained from digital cameras with a resolution of 1MP and more, the ScanR service neatens the image, eliminating shadows, low light, blur and angle issues.
Rudy Ruano, ScanR`s Ceo stated "ScanR brings mobility to the multi-billion dollar scan, copy and fax market, by taking the scanner off the desktop and putting it in your pocket."

FIFA has decreased the 2-hour post-match embargo, now allowing photos to be posted online immediately after the match. Rules were also drawn up restricting the use of sequential photographs. News agencies had to formally agree to these rules before being allowed the photo credentials to cover matches.
