Summary of the SCS Monitoring Capabilities
Simple to Install and Use:
All you need to monitor your computer or network equipment and the surrounding environment is an electrical outlet and a standard Ethernet LAN connection. Assign an IP address for each device you want to monitor, then set high/low thresholds that, when exceeded, will automatically generate an alert response. The appliances can be accessed, controlled and configured via the Web using the most popular browsers, from across the room or around the world.
IT Environment Monitoring:
The appliance has internal sensors that continually monitor temperature, humidity, airflow, audio, and room entry or motion (camera). External ports allow the connection of external sensors for water, condensation, glass breakage, electrical current, and more.
Centralized Management:
Appliances can be set up in user-defined groups with custom map views. Configuration and threshold settings can be changed simultaneously on multiple appliances. Graphing, reporting, and exporting tools make it easy to analyse and communicate trends.
IT Room Surveillance:
Surveillance provides cataloguing and indexing of photos captured from the monitoring appliances. Images from "surveillance events" can be easily retrieved and viewed as a movie clip at typically one frame every one to two seconds. Live thumbnail images can be displayed on a "surveillance console."
