SecureData becomes Check Point Authorised Training Centre

Johannesburg, 15 Mar 2012

SecureData Africa, part of JSE-listed SecureData Holdings, has announced that it has been appointed as a Check Point Authorised Training Centre (ATC).

“Becoming an Authorised Training Centre has taken months of planning and a lot of investment, both financially as well as from a resources point; however, we see this as a critical component of our Check Point service offering to our channel base,” says Wayne Olsen, Product & Technology Director at SecureData Africa.

“We now have the ability to offer world-class Check Point certified training in South Africa, allowing our channel partners as well as their end-users the ability to train their engineers on the latest product offerings from Check Point, without having to incur the huge costs of sending people overseas. The Check Point training centre will form part of our existing training portfolio which comprises Trend Micro, HP TippingPoint and Websense certified training,” adds Olsen.

“Having SecureData offer certified Check Point training is advantageous to us in that it ensures that our partners and their customers have the necessary skill set to fully utilise our product offering. We believe that we have the right technology, and having more certified engineers in the country will enhance the entire Check Point experience,” says Doros Hadjizenonos, Regional Sales Manager, Check Point South Africa.
