Sensio showcases 3D technology
Sensio Technologies will participate at the International Broadcasting Convention 2008 to promote Live 3D, its live stereoscopic content broadcasting technology, says Foxbusiness.
Nicholas Routhier, Sensio president and chief executive officer, says, "While we have already signed an agreement with IDC and Access Integrated Technologies, regarding the distribution of our Live 3D technology on the American market, we also wish to begin deployment on the European market shortly."
At this time, Sensio remains the only corporation in the world to have integrated Live 3D technology throughout a network of movie theatres.
HD sees expansion
iBiquity Digital Corporation, developer of digital high-definition (HD) technology for AM and FM audio and data broadcasting, has announced its expansion of HD radio content for HD2/HD3 multicast channels, reports Market Watch.
The technology enables broadcasters to improve the audio quality of their primary broadcast channel and to supplement their primary signal with data and additional audio channels.
HD radio broadcasts are available to more than 84% of the US population, with subscription-free, crystal-clear digital sound and listeners can choose from 90 different HD radio receivers available from retailers.
Media Broadcast adopts new technology
Alcatel-Lucent is providing its broadcast next-generation network to Media Broadcast, a German service provider for broadcasting and media industry, to deliver national soccer in high-definition TV, says TMCnet.
The service from Alcatel-Lucent will enable Media Broadcast to transmit high-definition TV signals to millions of TV viewers.
The broadcast network has an Alcatel-Lucent 7750 Service Router that acts as a multiservice edge router and manages voice, video and data signals for virtual private LAN services, virtual leased lines and IP VPN.
